Gear and packing
The band inventory, reusable kits per show type, and the per-gig checklist with who brings what.
Inventory
Gear lists everything the band owns or regularly brings: microphones, cables, stands, the PA, the merch box. Each item has a name, a category, the quantity you own and notes such as the serial number or where it lives. The inventory is shared; every member can see it, so nobody wonders whether the band has a spare DI box.
Kits
A kit is a saved list of items and quantities for a kind of show: Duo acoustic, Full band with own PA, Festival (backline provided). Build kits once, from the inventory. When a gig comes up, you apply the right kit and the packing checklist is filled in seconds.
The gig checklist
On a gig, open Packing and either apply a kit or add items directly. For each item set the quantity needed and who brings it. Members see the items assigned to them on the gig page. While loading, tick each item; the checklist shows what is still missing and whose it is.
After the gig, use the same list in reverse to make sure everything comes home.
Tips
- Keep quantities honest: the inventory quantity is what you own, the checklist quantity is what this gig needs.
- Put consumables (batteries, gaffer tape, strings) in the inventory too, with a note about where to buy them.
- One kit per venue that you play regularly saves the most time.
