Song proposals and ratings
Proposing new songs, voting, vetoes and promotion to the repertoire; rating rounds with personal links and results.
Proposing a song
Anyone in the band can propose a song: artist, title, a link to a recording and a note on why it would work. Proposals are listed newest first with the number of votes so far.
Voting and the threshold
Each member has one vote per proposal. When the votes reach the band's threshold, a percentage of the members set in the band settings (half by default), the proposal is marked as accepted and can be promoted. The threshold makes sure a song is added because the band wants it, not because two people were enthusiastic on a Tuesday.
Veto
The band leader and managers can veto a proposal. A vetoed proposal stays visible with the name of the person who vetoed it, so the discussion is transparent, but it can no longer be promoted. A veto can be lifted.
Promoting to the repertoire
Promote creates a song in the repertoire from the proposal, with the link as its first attachment, and marks the proposal as added. Fill in the key and tempo when you have learned the song.
Rating rounds
A rating round asks every member to rate every song on the three scales (audience, performance, enjoyment) in one sitting. Start a round, give it a name, and each member receives a personal link by email and, if they have a phone number, by SMS. The link opens a simple page that shows one song at a time; no login is needed, and progress is saved so it can be finished later. The round shows who has completed it.
Results
When enough members have answered, close the round. The results show every song with its average on each scale and how the averages changed since the previous round. Use them to trim the repertoire, to plan rehearsals for songs with a low performance score, and to build setlists from the songs with the best audience score.
