Getting started

Create your account

Sign up with your email and a password, or with your Google account. Every new account gets a free trial; you do not need a card to start. We send a confirmation link to your email address. You can use the app before you confirm, but please do it soon: password resets and notifications depend on a working address.

The language of the site is remembered on your account. Change it any time with the language switcher in the footer or on the account page.

Create your band

After signing in you land on the band list. Click Create a band and enter:

• The band name, as your members and clients will see it.
• The time zone. Every gig and rehearsal time is shown in this zone.
• The currency for quotes.
• The band language, used for messages to members who have not picked a language of their own.

All of this can be changed later in the band settings. The person who creates a band is its band leader (owner): the account that owns the band is the one that is billed for it.

Invite the members

Open Members and add an email address, a role and, optionally, an instrument. The member receives an invitation link that is valid for 14 days. When they open it, they sign in or create an account with that email address and are added to the band in one tap. Members never pay: only the band leader's account has a subscription.

If email is not working for someone, copy the invitation link from the member list and send it by hand.

Who can do what

There are three roles:

• Band leader: everything, including billing, band settings, deleting the band and transferring it to someone else.
• Manager: everything except billing, deletion and transfer. Good for the person who books gigs or writes the quotes.
• Member: sees everything, marks availability, rates songs, votes on proposals, ticks off the packing list, and can edit songs and setlists.

Roles are per band. The same person can be a member of one band and the leader of another.

What to do next

A good order for the first evening:

• Add the repertoire, or at least the songs you play most.
• Build a setlist for your next show.
• Create the next gig and ask who is available.
• Paint your free evenings in Rehearsals so the band can find a slot.
