Songs

A song has a title, an artist, a key, a tempo in beats per minute, a length and free notes. Nothing except the title is required; add details when you have them. The list can be searched and sorted by any column, and filtered by label.

Key and tempo appear on printed setlists so the drummer and the singer see them at a glance.

Structure

The structure is the order of sections in the song: intro, verse, chorus, bridge, solo, outro and so on. It is stored as a list, so you can reorder it and print it with the setlist. Use it for arrangements that differ from the record: a shortened intro, a repeated last chorus, a cue for the ending.

Labels

Labels are coloured tags you define per band: Wedding, First set, New, Needs work, Ballad, whatever helps you build setlists faster. A song can have several labels. Filter the repertoire by label when you build a setlist for a particular kind of show.

Attachments

Every song can carry attachments of three kinds:

• Text: chords, lyrics or a chart typed straight into the app. Text attachments can be printed with the setlist.
• Link: a YouTube video, a Spotify track, a shared document.
• File: a PDF chart, a recording, a backing track. Files are stored securely and can be opened from the phone on stage.

Attachments are ordered; drag them to put the most useful one first.

Ratings

Each member can rate every song on three scales from one to five:

• Audience: how well it goes down with the crowd.
• Performance: how well the band plays it.
• Enjoyment: how much you like playing it.

The repertoire shows the band average for each scale. Ratings are a quiet way to spot songs that should be dropped or rehearsed. To collect ratings from everyone in one go, use a rating round (see Song proposals and ratings).

Importing and exporting

Songs can be added one by one or pasted as a list, one song per line in the form Title - Artist. The repertoire can be printed or exported as a plain list for a booking agency.
